Your Hood River Salt Cave Session
I’m excited to welcome you to your upcoming Hood River Salt Cave Session!
This is your time to pause, breathe deeply, and allow the restorative benefits of dry salt therapy to support your wellbeing while making wellness memory.
Examples of how you may be alrady familiar with its benefits:
• Respiratory health: like opening nasal passages with a saline sinus spray
• Skin health: gently stimulating healing like an Epsom salt bath
• Pain & inflammation: soothing relief, like gargling salt water for a sore throat
• Increases serotonin: that same “good vibrations” feeling as walking on the beach
To help you get the most out of your visit, here are a few simple things to know:
Preparing for Your Session
• Wear comfortable clothing, if you wish to expose your skin for dry salt absorption wear shorts and a tank top or bathing suit. Robes are available, just let me know ahead of time so I can prepare them.
• If you wish to be barefoot in the cave, please clean your feet beforehand and wear socks until arrival.
• If not, you may wear your own clean socks and place provided disposable booties on them.
• Arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in.
• Avoid wearing perfumes or strong scents due to the possible sodium chloride chemical response.
• Hydrate before your session with water.
• No electronics in the salt cave. A basket is available to store private belongings.
• No talking in cave to reduce brain stimulation to focus on breathing.
What to Expect Inside
• Duration: Sessions last 45 minutes.
• Temp: cool 68°F-74°F. Plush blankets are provided.
• Room: Calm, softly lit with projector sharing soothing music with video.
• Seating: You’ll be seated in a reclining a padded zero gravity lounge.
• Breathe: Simply breathe normally – the salt in the air does the work for you.
This is a quiet, restorative environment with dry salt particles suspended in the air.
These particles are temporarily displaced upon entering and moving in the cave until you settle in your chair, and then they wrap themselves around you once more to help you reflect, nap or just relax.
After Your Session
• Take a few moments to notice your breathing and sense of calm.
• Many guests report clearer airways, reduced stress, and a lasting feeling of refreshment.
• Hydration, a complimentary electrolyte drink and a chocolate supplement awaits you.
